And today, we'll be taking a look at our Saris MHS modular bike rack. So, this is gonna be the single bike rack. And we are gonna take a look at it right here on our 2014 Toyota Prius V. So, this is the Saris MHS. It's a modular system. So, that way, you can mix and match different MHS accessories. Here, it looks like a single bike rack, but you can also add another one real quick, so you can carry two bikes with this rack. We're gonna take a look at some of its features. Since this is a premium bike rack, a little different than some of your others, we wanna focus on those features and see if they're gonna be a right fit for you, your bicycles and your Toyota Prius V. The V in the Prius V stands for versatility. So, you do get those good MPGs, but you also get more cargo space. If you have a really cool car, so why not get really cool bike rack to match it. So here, we have our big mountain bike. And this is sometimes too big or too heavy for some of our other bike racks. Here on the MHS, no problem at all. This does have a weight capacity 95 pounds total. So, that should include the add-on, so just keep that in mind. Now, the first feature we are gonna take a look at is the tilt-away feature. There's gonna be a lever right over here. And you're also gonna have a safeguard on the bottom, for just in case. You're gonna wanna crouch down and pull that lever and just drop this down to a tilt. Why will you tilt your bike rack away Well, what if you wanna access your hatch while your bikes are still on As you can see here, we have plenty of clearance between our door, our pedals, and we have extra long handle bars, and it clears. So now, we can get into our hatch, grab whatever we need. So, whether it's our helmets, our bags, our waters, we can grab them real quick without having to take the bikes off. And then once you've gotten them, you just push the bike rack up into place and it snaps into place and you're ready to hit the road. The way our bike is mounted is we have wheel mount-style bike rack. So, this is similar to the style that you can see on the Thule Helium or the Inno Tire Hold with some differences. So, there's gonna be different points of context here. Not, only is it holding it in by the wheel, we also have a wheel track in the back. And then we have a wheel strap over on our rear wheel. So, when you wanna take off your bike, you start by releasing that wheel strap. This is gonna be a ratcheting strap, so just press that lever. That disengages the strap. Lift this up. I like to either just slide it all the way out or just where it doesn't get caught up in our spokes. And then you're gonna wanna hold on to your bike for this one. Press the levers on this wheel mount and just push that out. So, that's one lever. So, compare this to the Inno Tire Hold, that one has the access point on the tray itself. This one is on the wheel mount itself. That goes out too. And once those are disengaged, you can then lift your bike up and you're ready to go on a bike ride. So, with the bike out, we can take a closer look at the bike rack itself. So, we had those arms, which held onto our wheels. Depending on your tires or your wheels, you can adjust this up and down to get a better fit for you. And then this folds down, just to be nice and neat. Notice how we have a tray-style system here. You also have these straps, which can pivot or go slide back and forth to accommodate different wheel bases. The maximum wheel base that you can carry with this is up to 53-inch long bikes. In the center, you'll have these cable locks and they're integrated into the tray itself, so this wraps around your bike. This secures into itself. You get keys with the system, too, and it's all keyed alike. So, we talked about the front wheel mount and the chuck. Another thing, too, is if you do find some fitment issues with like your pedals and your handlebars, you can adjust this, switch the trays around. In fact, my friends did a full review of the system, so check that out, too, if you want to. Now, whenever you have anything on your hitch, there's gonna be some length added to back of it. So, let's take some measurements to see exactly how much. Here on our Prius V, I'm gonna measure from our bumper to the end of the bike rack, which is by this handle, and it sits at 27 1/2 inches. So, pretty compact.
